The owners of a landmark resort on Canandaigua Lake say they are closing it down and making it their personal property.
The Bristol Harbour Resort was purchased by Todd and Laura Cook in 2016. The couple has invested millions renovating the hotel, restaurant and wedding venue – and made significant improvements to the golf course.
The Cooks cite the pandemic as a reason for the decision. They say the golf course will remain open to members only for the rest of the season.
They did not provide specifics as to their plans for the course or the commercial buildings on the property.
