Summer Street mansion-turned-apartment building sells for $970,000

A 150-year-old Tudor-style mansion-turned-apartment building on Summer Street just north of Allentown has sold for nearly $1 million.

Torsten Behrens and Josephine Zagarella, acting through TBJZ Development LLC, paid $970,000 to acquire the former Bush/Depew House at 165 Summer from Stephen C. Townsend.

Built in the early 1870s by John Bush and later owned by Ganson Depew in the early 1900s, the 8,687-square-foot, three-story mansion with an unfinished basement was converted to apartments and has eight units. It’s located on 0.29 acres between Delaware Avenue and Oakland Place.
